Finding Ucluelet
There are a number of ways to get to Ucluelet.
Driving
From Vancouver take the ferry (from either Horseshoe Bay or Tsawwassen terminal) to Nanaimo (either Departure Bay or Duke Point terminal). If visiting Victoria first, take the ferry to Sidney and follow the #1 highway to Nanaimo.
From Nanaimo:
From the Ferry Terminal take the Island Highway North to Highway #4 (Port Alberni/ Pacific Rim National Park Exit). Follow the Ucluelet/ Tofino/ Pacific Rim signs through Port Alberni. The trip takes roughtly 1hr. to Port Alberni, and 2hours to the Ucluelet/Tofino juntion. From Victoria add 1.5 hours.
Alternatives
Ferry from Bamfield or Port Alberni
Two passenger ferries run to Ucluelet. The Lady Rose departs from Port Alberni to both Ucluelet and Bamfield. The Seaway Express runs between Bamfield and Ucluelet.
